Weekly status report from bullet notes
Turn a week of rough bullets into a short status update your manager can read in a minute, with progress, risks and what you need.
The prompt
Turn my rough notes into a weekly status update. My reader is busy and wants to know three things: is it on track, what changed and do they need to do anything. Who reads it: [for example, my manager, the project sponsor, the wider team] Project or area: [name] My notes from this week: [paste bullets, half-sentences, ticket titles, whatever you have] Format: - One-line overall status: On track, At risk or Off track, with a short reason. - Done this week: 3–5 bullets, each with the result, not just the activity. - Next week: 2–4 bullets. - Risks or blockers: only real ones, each with what I'm doing about it. - What I need from you: specific asks with dates, or "Nothing this week". Under 200 words. Plain language, no filler. Don't add anything that isn't in my notes. If a note is unclear, list it at the end so I can fix it.
