Ask for three different options, then pick one
One answer gives you nothing to compare. Ask for three distinct versions, choose the best, and refine from there.
Write a subject line for our customer survey email.
Give me three subject lines for an email asking customers to fill out a five-minute satisfaction survey. Make them genuinely different: 1. Short and direct 2. Curious, makes them want to open it 3. Focused on what they get out of it For each one, add a line on who it would work best for.
Why it works
The first answer is just one guess, and it's hard to judge a guess with nothing next to it. Three options side by side show you the range and help you notice what you actually want. Asking for different angles keeps the AI from giving you three slight rewordings of the same idea.

Give me three different options for [what you need]. Make each one take a different approach: [angle 1], [angle 2], [angle 3]. Add one line on when each would work best.
Variations
Mix and match
I like the opening of option 1 and the ending of option 3. Combine them into one version.
Let it recommend
Give me three options, then tell me which one you'd pick for [audience] and why.
Go wider
Give me ten quick ideas, one line each, with no explanations. I'll pick two to develop.
