Ask the AI what it's unsure about

End with "what should I double-check?" and it points to the claims, numbers and guesses you need to verify before you use the answer.

Before

Summarize the main findings of this market research report.

After

Summarize the main findings of the market research report below in five bullets. Then add a section called "Check before you share" that lists: - any point you're unsure about or had to interpret - any number I should confirm against the original - anything you filled in that isn't directly stated in the report If you're not confident about something, say so plainly. [paste the report]

Why it works

The AI writes guesses in the same confident tone as facts, so you can't tell them apart by reading. Asking it to flag its own weak spots gives you a short list of what to check instead of rechecking everything. Telling it outright that "I'm not sure" is an acceptable answer makes it less likely to bluff.

Variations

After the fact

Look back at your last answer. Which parts are you least sure about, and how would I check them?

Rate each point

For each point in your answer, add a confidence rating of high, medium or low, with a few words on why.
