Ask the AI to improve your prompt before you use it
Paste your rough prompt and ask the AI to rewrite it. You get a sharper request, and it tells you what it was missing.
Write a project update email.
Here's a prompt I'm about to use: "Write a project update email." Before you answer it, rewrite it into a better prompt. Add what you'd need to know to do a great job, and list any questions you have for me.
Why it works
Most weak answers come from short prompts that leave the AI guessing. When you ask it to rewrite your prompt first, it fills in what a good request needs (audience, goal, length, tone) and shows you which details only you can supply. You learn to write better prompts just by watching what it adds.

Variations
Skip the back-and-forth
Rewrite my prompt into a better one, fill any gaps with sensible assumptions, list those assumptions, then answer the improved prompt.
